Nancy Morgantini is a freelance artist/photographer based in Saltair, BC. The photo art that Nancy creates is inspired by what we see in our everyday life, whether a flower in a field, a smile of a little girl, West Coast seascape, or a balcony in an old town. The digital darkroom allows her to express her feelings and create out of the ordinary images that speak to the world and can enrich everyone's experience. Nancy has been successful in both the Sooke and the Sidney juried Fine Art shows, and exhibited at the juried Cowichan Valley Fine Arts “Best of the Best” Show. Nancy’s art has been also displayed in numerous other avenues among which the Greater Victoria Arts Council shows, the Chemainus Rainforest Gallery, and the Ladysmith Waterfront Gallery.

I am a photographer/digital artist and have been working in this medium since 2006. Photography has always been my passion but often the photograph is only the beginning of my vision. Using a fine point stylus on a Wacom tablet and various brushes, textures my vision for each photograph comes to life, often evolving after many layers of ideas are combined. The prominent themes in my work are still life, nature, flowers and my latest passion of wild birds. The latter has been the perfect antidote to the present day health related restrictions. I am passionate about the medium of digital photo art as it allows me to explore many different methods to achieve my vision and allows much creativity in my work.
