Elise Mulder

Elise is an emerging artist from Cobble Hill, Vancouver Island, just stepping foot into the world of art shows. She is a sculptor that paints in semi-realism and abstraction. Elise is finishing her schooling, while also working under an incredibly talented established artist. Who has encouraged her to put her work out there. 

Swim was inspired by a story that my Aunt told me, when she was travelling in Mexico, about this cute little green sea turtle that she encountered while diving. I have been working on this piece ever since, trying to make a little green sea turtle. The turtle is made out of foam and modelling paste and is mounted on driftwood and other little things that I have found on local beaches, on Vancouver island.
