StatementI was raised in a family environment where everyone was involved in the arts. From creative sewing and china painting to wood carving. When I had a chance to paint I wanted to learn as much as possible and took University courses as well as workshops and seminars. I wanted to teach art and gave my first class at Malaspina College. Shaw Cable asked if I would be interested in co-producing a series of weekly watercolor lessons that your and old could enjoy. I was able to pass on my skills to those who could not afford classes and could be enjoyed by young and old alike. I am aware of the trouble and strife in the world. I spend time in Kenya volunteering in an orphanage that had over 350 children. The children and I painted a mural around the inside walls of their dinner hall. When they were not doing chores, some of them would join me in the yard where they showed me the flower and critters that lived there.
