One of a series of paintings of lichen. This piece is based on a photo of lichen on the rocks near the ocean at Neck Point Park in Nanaimo. This was a very small patch of lichen, just a couple of inches across. I have used pen and markers on watercolour paper and worked through a magnifier for the finer details
