Title: Last Kiss of the Sun

This past summer while plein air painting at Rebecca Spit on Quadra Island, one of my favourite spots for painting because of it’s natural beauty, I was entranced by a scene of some clouds semi transparently illuminated by the setting sun. For an instant, the balance of colors between earth water and sky seemed truly magical. The challenge was to find the correct color choices and brushstrokes to portray each element to give a sense of place.
