This painting features a nurse stump on Mount Benson beside an old logging road. Growing on the nurse stump is an assortment of native plants including a young hemlock tree, salal, sword ferns, huckleberry branches and thick green moss. The far off trees are shadowed by mist in the background - the perfect day for a hike!
