Oil on canvas. This painting was inspired by a chance meeting of a Refugee to Canada. I realized how completely different our life stories are. I can only envision the hardships and challenges that a young woman may experience. Or how being a mother adds another level of insecurity and desperation. This painting is not a political statement but an expression of the privilege we experience daily and take for granted. .
