alone in the forest

The idea for this series came to me upon waking from a nap. I imagined the process of colour, applied in layers, using a resist to hide and reveal certain areas; patterns and emphases.
drawing on the weaver's warp and weft, this painting relies heavily on the use of horizontal and vertical lines to reveal a third dimension; the space in between.
