Elizabeth LaRose

Elizabeth LaRose grew up in the northern region of Vancouver Island. Living in a small village, her earliest introduction to the arts came from the local video store and library. Drawing and making collages was a passion early on. Making art served as an escape, and effective way to pass the time over long stormy days. Moving to the South Island allowed LaRose the pleasure of discovering more artistic influences and eventually attending post secondary education. She holds a BA in Visual Arts from Vancouver Island University and plans to continue making more creative discoveries.     

Hello! 

I am an artist from Duncan. Inspired by pop culture, art nouveau, and expressionism, I make (often fun-loving) artwork to delight the eyes. When crafting an illustration, I aim to explore different feelings and emotions. Having a mood in my artwork is of utmost importance to me! On a raw level, I love brightening other peoples' days and making art is an extension of that.
